As a reflection of our current needs and planned growth we are very pleased to offer a new opportunity to join our dedicated team as Manager, Global Logistics.

The Manager of Global Logistics will oversee all Logistics related activities for goods and inventory moving to and from our corporate locations, from our suppliers, and to and from the practices that we support. This leadership position will be functionally responsible for ensuring that all logistics related activities including warehousing, transportation, order fulfillment, international shipping, trade compliance, inventory management, shipping operations, and receiving operations, are executed to a high standard. The position will have oversight of logistics operations for the dental, medical, medical aesthetics, and animal health logistics for all five brands that represent TAG.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead team of logistics specialists to execute day to day shipping and receiving activities at our practice support center to ensure that deliveries are received in a timely and accurate manner and that all shipments are scheduled to ship with the desired service levels and are on time.

  • Create and maintain a culture or safety, inclusion, diversity, productivity, and service excellence.

  • Monitor, support, and execute the logistics processes for goods moving to and from all dental, animal health, medical practices, corporate offices, suppliers, 3PL, and field teams on a day to day basis.

  • Responsible for setting up and maintaining shipping accounts in new offices and ensuring that the staff is trained and knowledgeable on the process. Audit and reconcile shipping invoices to ensure company dollars are being spent wisely. Ensure logistics costs are within budget parameters.

  • Document and maintain department processes and related policies to guide internal and external shipping entities on compliant practices.

  • Monitor international trade relationships to ensure import and export compliance is being met.

  • Provide support, expertise, and knowledge to the internal and external stakeholders across the enterprise. Support functions will include negotiating with carriers/providers, managing carrier accounts, training new and existing staff members, ensuring supply levels are maintained, support with kitting processes, troubleshooting lost and damaged shipments, and serves as the escalation point for all logistics related issues.

  • Manage 3rd party logistics operations to ensure key process indicators (KPI’s) are being met. KPI’s include on time delivery, inventory accuracy, safety, shipping quality, budget adherence, and customer service.

  • Lead and support ad hoc process improvement projects and kaizens within the supply chain function to help drive efficiencies for the organization.

  • Lead and support contract negotiations and Request for Proposals (RFP) with key suppliers within the logistics area to improve cost, quality, delivery, diversity, and safety in the supply base.

  • Provide regular communication to Business and Supply Chain leadership on projects, logistics performance, business risks, and relevant industry news.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Supply Chain, Engineering or related field.

  • 7+ years of related experience in supply chain management, logistics, procurement, and operations management with an emphasis on logistics.

  • Professional logistics and supply chain certifications, preferred.

  • Demonstrated experience in a fast paced operational environment.

Starting salary: $97,000+, dependent on experience
